A second man has been charged in a robbery in a parking lot off the Loop on Oct. 25. University City Police said that Jermaine Pate and Timothy Valley robbed a man and took his car. Pate, 23, of the 5500 block of Etzel in St. Louis, was charged Feb. 14 with first-degree robbery and armed criminal action. Valley was charged with the robbery Dec. 7.

A man who refused to pick up a beer can he threw down in an alley behind Second Street opted instead to throw down with a St. Charles officer, according to a police report. He ended up kicking out a window and damaging a door inside a St. Charles police car, the officer said. Ryan Burrows, 26, was charged Thursday with third-degree assaulting an officer, resisting arrest and second-degree property damage. Court records indicated Burrows is homeless.
